Steps of Faith~ 2ed Sunday of March/4th Sunday of Lent

Josh. 5:9-12:I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you...they kept the Passover and then ate the produce ofthe land...the manna ceased on that day.

Ps. 32: I acknowledge my sin to You.... I confess...and You forgave my sin.

2 Cor. 5:16-21:If any man is in Christ Jesus he is a new creation, old things are passed away.

Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32:Parable of the lost son.

In Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32, we see a picture of how God the Father sees us when we are out of his will and sin. It is also a good picture of how when we go to God and ask for forgiveness, he will forgive us and make us a son or daughter. Ps. 32 tells us that id we acknowledge our sin to God and confess it then He will forgive us. In 2 Cor. 5:16-21,we are told that if any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation, old things are passed away and all things become new. Just as the Israelites had a new life in Josh. 5:9-12, and they ate in rejoicing when  their reproach was taken from them, and the Father had a dinner rejoicing on the return of his son. So there is is rejoicing in heaven when we become a new creation in Christ Jesus.
