Steps of Faith~ 3ed Sunday in January

Is. 62:1-5 God's city and people will shine when they are joined with God.

Ps. 36:5-10 What the Lord is...love, faithful, holy, honest. he provides for his people.

I Cor. 12:1-11 God's spirit gives gifts to us to help the body of Christ.

John 2:1-11 Jesus provided wine at a wedding in the groom's greatest need.

God's faithfulness

God is faithful to his people when they follow him. He provides for his people. One place we see when God provided was at a wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11). You see, they ran out of wine during the wedding. If word got out about this, it would disgrace those putting the wedding on. So Jesus was not only providing something physically, but helping them to save their reputation as well.

God the Holy spirit gives us spiritual gifts(I Cor. 12:1-11). So that we can fulfill our part in His kingdom. Those who faithfully follow him will shine for all the world to see(Is. 62:1-5).

God does all this because he is faithful (Ps. 36:5-10). We should be faithful to him also.
