Acts 2:1-21: The coming of the Holy Spirit to the followers of God and they spoke in tongues.
Ps. 104:24-35b: We will praise the Lord for the great works he has done in the earth.
Rom. 8:14-17: Those who are lead by the Holy Spirit are children of God.
John 14: 8-27: Jesus spoke what the Father told him to say. If we love Jesus, we will obey what he said. "The Holy Spirit will teach you when I am gone back to my Father," Jesus said.
Jesus told his followers that he spoke what he had heard from The Father, because he loved the Father. We too are to obey what Jesus has said during the time he was on this earth, because we love him (John 14:8-27). On the day of Pentecost, the promised comforter came upon Jesus' followers. When that happened, everyone who was in the room heard and understood what Jesus' followers were saying (Acts 2:1-21). When we obey the Word of God and are lead by the Holy Spirit, we are the children of God, and can do great things for the Lord. Even greater things than what Jesus did (Rom. 8:14-17). We as children of God should praise him for all the great works he has done and is doing in the earth today (Ps. 104:24-35b). For the great works both physically and spiritually on earth would not happen without God.
