Ps. 19: The heavens declare the glory of God. You can hear it all over the world. God's Word makes our souls perfect. We will be rewarded richly for keeping it. Lord, please let my words be pleasing to you.
James 3:1-12: God's followers are told to not sin with what we say. As what we say shows the sin in our hearts.
Mark 8:27-38:Jesus asks his disciples who people said that he was. Then Jesus asked who they thought that he was. Peter said that he was the Christ. Jesus told them to tell no on of this. Later, Jesus tells them that he will be going to die. Peter yells at him telling not to say that. Jesus called Pete,r Satan and told him to get behind him. Because he was trying to keep him from doing the will of God. Jesus went on to tell them that we have to die of self to follow him.
We receive wisdom through the Word of God. But it is not enough to read it. We must also follow what it says, living the life as god would want us to.
